In The Crossing, women’s ministry happens on all sorts of different levels. Many of our women meet up 1-to-1 with each other regularly (in cafes, restaurants, homes), where they read the Bible and wrestle with God’s truths together; prayer triplets gather together to read Christian books and pray for each other; and our team of female small group leaders spend time and energy serving and loving the female members in their bible study groups.
We love to see the whole church building itself up through words of truth (Ephesians 4:15), so we seek to encourage this organic women’s ministry as much as possible. In addition to this informal women’s ministry, we also have some formal events and groups that specially cater to women.
Events
Once a year, women across all congregations in The Crossing gather for an afternoon to think biblically together about a topic, and to enjoy each other’s fellowship. A bible talk is normally given by one of our female staff, with time given afterwards to mull over the topic with one another in small group seminars.
The Women’s Event is not only a great time to hear Bible truth expounded faithfully by women (which is a unique form of encouragement to our ladies as we see Christian women seeking to think hard and live hard for Jesus), but also a wonderful time to chat with and get to know more women in church over yummy baked goods!

Small groups
On a fortnightly basis, a Tuesday morning women’s bible study group takes place. The group is open to all women of The Crossing and primarily serves women with children (with crèche provided).
The group’s meetings alternate between a bible study where our ladies feed on God’s word together, and a Kids’ Playgroup with songs and craft for little ones as mums connect and talk about life, kids, Jesus… and just about everything else! The bible studies aim to challenge and encourage our women to keep persevering and growing in Christ in all seasons of life.
