The Crossing Church AGM 2020

Annual General Meeting (AGM), 26 Jul (Sun), 2-3pm on Zoom

Hi Church! Due to the Covid-19 situation, we will be conducting our AGM online for 2020. As the rules for conducting an AGM online are different from a physical meeting, here are some points on what to expect:

(1) Financial update during AGM:

The Elders and Deacons will present the audited financial statements for the financial year ended 31 December 2019. They will also provide an operational and financial update of the church as at June 2020.

(2) Registration for AGM:

To register for AGM, please email your full name and NRIC to by 22 July 2020.

The link to access the meeting will be provided to you thereafter.

(3) Voting:

Voting members should have already received their proxy forms and instructions on how to vote. We are required to vote by proxy as our constitution does not allow for online voting during general meetings. As part of the Covid Temporary Measures Act, only the chairman of the meeting may be appointed as proxy. Hsu Li Chuan, one of TCC’s directors, will be chairman of the meeting.

For an example of how to fill up your proxy form, please see below:

Please email your proxy form to Charmaine Phua at before 24 July 2020, 2pm.

Votes received by proxy will be counted beforehand and the results will be announced during AGM.

(4) Quorum Requirement

Do note that we will require a quorum of 30% of all members of the Church electronically present. A member is electronically present at a Meeting if the member – (i) attends the Meeting electronically; (ii) is verified by the Church as attending the Meeting electronically; and (iii) is acknowledged by electronic means by the Chairman of the Meeting as present at the Meeting. We do therefore seek the active participation of members in this meeting to make up this quorum.

(5) Q&A

There will be a short Q&A session at the end of AGM. However, members may not have the full opportunity to ask questions due to administrative limitations. Therefore, it is important to submit your questions in advance.

Questions may be submitted to before 19 July 2020.

A collated FAQ sheet will be sent to all registrants for AGM by 22 July.
